Freycinet National Park - Richardsons Beach, Honeymoon Bay and Ranger Creek - unpowered sites and powered sites.

Due to the high demand for campsites, a ballot system operates for the Christmas holiday period. Entries by fax/letter/e-mail drawn on 1st October. Enter early to avoid disappointment. Campground bookings will only be taken from 18th December until the March long weekend and again at Easter each year. At all other times bookings will not be taken and self-registration applies. Contact Freycinet National Park for details. freycinet@parks.tas.gov.au. Camping available at Richardsons Beach (dunes area - fuel stoves only), Honeymoon Bay (open Summer/Easter only), and Ranger Creek. Electric barbecues, picnic tables, non-treated water and toilets at Honeymoon Bay and Ranger Creek. Toilet at Wineglass Bay car park.

For caravans, 19 powered sites are available. A designated backpackers camping area (no cars/no bookings taken/groups must register with Visitor Centre) is available. Caravan access is available only to powered sites. A basic campground is also available at Friendly Beaches (Isaacs Point). The turn-off is approximately 19 kms before the Coles Bay township and main park entrance. Pit toilets, no water, fuel stove only area. National park fees apply, but there is no camping charge.

Port Arthur Caravan and Cabin Park at Port Arthur
Garden Point. Turn left off main highway before townsite. Well sign-posted. Ph: 03 6250 2340. No pets allowed. The Port Arthur Caravan & Cabin Park is the ideal stopover facility from which to explore the whole Tasman Peninsula. Situated at Garden Point, 1 km north of Port Arthur, it is central to the area's many attractions including the Port Arthur Historic Site, the Coalmines Historic Site, plus the many natural scenic features including the magnificent rock formations at Eaglehawk Neck and the Remarkable Cave near Port Arthur. There are a variety of bushwalks available within the Tasman National Park ranging from short half-hour family walks to overnight treks to Cape Pillar.
